UEFA Champions League winner Barcelona announced that they have retained their right-back defender Dani Alves within their ranks.
The 32-year-old footballer, whose contract was set to expire at the end of this month, took his time and calmly considered offers from other clubs. It was reported that "Paris Saint-Germain" and "Milan" were interested in him.
However, the Brazilian decided to stay with the Catalans and signed a new two-year contract. Furthermore, the official club website announces that the contract includes the possibility of extending it for another season.
In the 2014-15 season, Alves was one of the key players for Barcelona, and the team triumphed not only in the Champions League but also in the national championship and the King's Cup tournament.
The defender arrived at Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008 for 35 million euros.
