Luukas de Jong will continue his career in the PSV Eindhoven team. The 23-year-old forward, who belonged to Borussia Monchengladbach club, signed a five-year contract with the Dutch team.
Not long ago, the Dutch player, who was associated with top European clubs, played for two teams last season. He spent the first part of the season with Gladbach's eleven, and later moved to Newcastle on loan basis.
It is reported that PSV paid 5.5 million euros for the player. After the negotiations, L. de Jong expressed his joy and hopes to regain his best sporting form.
"I want to return to the pitch and show my best qualities," the forgotten striker officially told the club's television. "The negotiations with PSV were positive and I look forward to playing for this team."
L. de Jong, who did not make an impact in 12 matches in the English Premier League, cost 15 million euros for Gladbach club in 2012.
