London's "Chelsea" and defender David Luiz managed to reach a common decision.
On Friday, it was officially announced that the 32-year-old Brazilian has signed a new contract with the team.
"I am very happy to be here and have the opportunity to stay. I love this club and still have ambitions as if I were a young footballer," said D. Luiz.
The new contract with the player will be valid until the end of the 2020/2021 season.
Since taking a break from defending the colors of "Chelsea" in 2011, the defender in the "blues" ranks has played a total of 246 matches and scored 18 goals.
