Eden Hazard's drama, which lasted for several months, has finally ended - Madrid's "Real" team has officially confirmed that the star of the Belgian national team will play for their team from the next season.
The transfer fee has not been officially announced, but it is reported that London's "Chelsea" will receive 100 million euros for their star, whose contract had one year remaining, with possible bonuses of 5 million euros. Hazard himself will sign a five-year contract with the "white" team.
This deal has been known for some time, but the clubs could not agree on the final transfer fee.
After winning the UEFA Europa League final, Hazard announced that it was his last match with the "blues" team. A week later, the Belgian was already confirmed as the new player for "Real".
If the mentioned transfer fee is confirmed, Hazard will break the "Real" team's transfer record - 100 million euros were paid for Gareth Bale in 2013.
Hazard's presentation at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium will take place on June 13th.
The 28-year-old footballer has been playing for "Chelsea" since 2012. During that time, he played 352 matches and scored 110 goals.
In seven years with "Chelsea", he won six titles, including two "Premier" League trophies.
