The London club "Chelsea" confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the team's legend Frank Lampard will stay with the team for at least another year.
At the beginning of the season, there were more and more reports in the media that the club management wanted to get rid of Lampard and that this was his last season, but the situation changed and the player extended his contract for one more season.
Last Saturday, the Englishman became the all-time top scorer of the club, when he scored two goals in a match against "Aston Villa" and surpassed Bobby Tambling's record. Tambling had 202 goals to his name.
Lampard joined Chelsea in 2001, when he moved from "West Ham" team for 16 million euros.
