Former Bayern Munich and French national team winger Franck Ribery announced that he is retiring from football.
The 39-year-old Frenchman wrote on his social media:
"The ball stops. The feelings inside me do not. Thank you all for this great adventure 🙏🏼"
Ribery represented nine clubs during his 22-year professional career, with his last being Serie A team Salernitana.
The best times for the Frenchman were experienced in the Bayern Munich team, where he scored 86 goals in 273 matches.
