Official: F. Ribery will bid farewell to "Bayern" after the season

Munich's "Bayern" confirmed that Franck Ribery is spending his last weeks at the club.

The 36-year-old Frenchman's contract expires at the end of this season, and both parties have decided not to extend it. F. Ribery is leaving the Bavarian team after 12 years in Germany.

"I fulfilled my dream when I arrived at Bayern. It won't be easy to say goodbye to this club, but we will never forget what we achieved together," said F. Ribery.

With the departure of the Frenchman, the so-called "Robbery" era comes to an end, when Bayern was led to victories by two long-standing forwards of the team - F. Ribery and Arjen Robben. The Dutchman confirmed earlier that he will also leave the team after the season.

Since 2007, F. Ribery has played 422 matches for Bayern and scored 123 goals. During this time, he has been a German champion eight times and once triumphed in the UEFA Champions League.

@FranckRibery will not extend his contract with #FCBayern, and will leave this summer.
