Spanish champion Madrid's "Atletico" club officially informed that they have completed negotiations with "Milan" regarding the loan of forward Fernando Torres.
Rumors that the 30-year-old could return to his first club have been circulating for some time. The official transfer will take place on January 5th, when the transfer window opens in Italy.
F.Torres was only loaned to "Milan" last summer, but the "Rossoneri" team acquired all rights to the Spaniard on Saturday, paying a certain amount to London's "Chelsea" club, to which the player belonged for three years.
"Atletico" announced that Torres will represent the club for the rest of this season and the entire 2015-16 season under a loan agreement.
The Spanish national team member began his career at "Atletico" team, where he spent seven excellent seasons. During these years, the Spaniard appeared on the field 244 times and scored 91 goals.
Later, another successful stop for the player was Liverpool. F.Torres played for four years at the "Liverpool" club and scored 81 goals. This statistic impressed "Chelsea", which acquired the forward for a sum of 50 million pounds sterling. However, his career did not go smoothly at both clubs - "Chelsea" and "Milan".
After the negotiations, F.Torres did not hide his joy: "Finally, I am coming back home. Thanks to everyone who helped me fulfill this dream. Forza Atleti."
It is worth mentioning that the same "Atletico" club will soon most likely loan out the 27-year-old Italian forward Alessio Cerci, who has not yet shown his full potential in Spain to "Milan".
