Cesc Fabregas is returning home - London has confirmed that they have agreed to sell the midfielder to the club.

The Spaniards will pay 34 million euros upfront, and another six million - based on additional conditions, depending on the number of games played and trophies won.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder will once again represent the team, which he left at just sixteen, to go to London.

“Barcelona” has been trying to get him back for years, but negotiations have always ended in failure. Finally, the deal was confirmed, so on Monday Fabregas will undergo a medical examination in Catalonia and sign the contract.

“We understood that Cesc wants to return to his hometown club, so we accepted Barcelona's offer,” said Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger. “But we always made it clear that we do not want to lose this player. We thank Fabregas for his game and wish him success in the future.”

In the ranks of Arsenal, Fabregas played 303 matches and scored 57 goals.

In 2003, he became the youngest member of the London team in the main lineup. In the League Cup tournament, Fabregas stepped onto the field in a match against "Rotherham United" at the age of 16 years and 177 days.

Since November 2008, he has worn the captain's armband for the team.
