"Manchester United" officially announced that young Timothy Fosu-Mensah has tied his future to the club by signing a new contract until 2020, with the option to extend it for another year.
The 18-year-old footballer arrived in Manchester in 2014 and played in the academy and reserve team. In last season's English "Premier" league match against London's "Arsenal," he made his debut in the main lineup and has played 12 games so far.
"I am delighted to sign a new contract," said Fosu-Mensah. "I enjoy every minute and want to continue my progression. I learn every day from the coach and assistants, and I want to repay their trust in me with my performance."
Head coach Jose Mourinho said: "Tim is a young player with great potential. I am also pleased with his new contract and his development. It is clear to see how much he learns every day, and this season he will have many opportunities to shine."
