Official: G. Arlauskis moves to "Espanyol" with a rental agreement (VIDEO)

About a week-long negotiations between Barcelona's Espanyol and Watford clubs regarding Lithuanian national team goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis have ended - the 28-year-old unicorn is moving to the Catalan capital. The Spanish club's website announces that the Lithuanian has been leased by Espanyol until the end of the season, and in the summer will have the opportunity to buy the goalkeeper's contract for 1 million euros. Former Steaua Bucharest goalkeeper fulfilled his dream last summer - he moved to the English Premier League. However, shining in the Watford club was not meant for the Lithuanian, and he did not play two full matches in six months. Espanyol's head coach position is held by Constantinas Galca, who previously worked with the Lithuanian in Romania. Francesco Bardi, a player from Inter Milan, left the Barcelona team today, so G. Arlauskis will have to compete with 21-year-old Pau Lopez. On Sunday, Espanyol will travel to Madrid to face Real Madrid. However, there is little chance that G. Arlauskis will already be guarding the visitors' goal at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The introduction of the Lithuanian national team player at Espanyol will take place tomorrow.
