"Stoke City" announced on their official website that they have agreed the final details of the contract with Glen Johnson, who has worn the colors of "Liverpool" for the past six years.
The 30-year-old right-back's contract with "Liverpool" ended this summer, and Brendan Rodgers did not want to extend it. The Englishman has signed a two-year deal with the "Stoke" team.
"Glen will be a fantastic addition to our squad", said the head coach of "the Potters" Mark Hughes. "He is a defender who can score goals. I remember last season, when he scored a winning goal against us at Anfield stadium".
"I spoke with him and I knew how eager he was to become a player for "Stoke City"", added the strategist.
In 2009, G. Johnson cost "Liverpool" £17.5 million. In six seasons, the Englishman played 200 matches and scored nine goals.
