Gerardo "Tata" Martino officially announced that he is parting ways with Barcelona club. The contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

The strategist, who arrived in Catalonia in the summer, did not meet expectations and this season did not win any titles, so he was forced to leave the team.

"It was an honor to coach this team. I apologize to the team's fans for not achieving the goals set before the season," said G. Martino.

At the Camp Nou stadium on Saturday evening, G. Martino had the opportunity to improve his reputation, but the match against Madrid's Atletico ended in a draw and the "Primera" title was lost.

The 51-year-old Argentine was replaced by Tito Vilanova, and now it is almost certain that Luis Enrique will become the new coach of Barcelona.
