Milano "Inter" officially confirmed the acquisition of 23-year-old midfielder Joao Mario.
The product of Lisbon's "Sporting" club was one of the main players of the Portuguese national team, contributing to the triumph in the 2016 European Championship. J. Mario had long been linked with London's "Chelsea", but the battle for the promising Portuguese was won by "Inter".
The conditions and duration of the contract are not disclosed. It is believed that the fashion capital team may have paid up to 45 million euros for the player.
J. Mario made his debut for the first team of "Sporting" in 2012. He became a regular starter in the 2014-15 season. Throughout his time with the Portuguese vice-champions, he played 75 matches and scored 14 goals.
After J. Mario, "Inter" is expected to soon announce the arrival of the promising Brazilian Gabigol.
