Official: J. Draxler signed a contract with "Wolfsburg"

“Wolfsburg” club has confirmed that they have acquired German national team attacking midfielder Julian Draxler from “Schalke” club.

The Gelsenkirchen club refused to confirm the transfer fee, but confirmed that it is the biggest club sale of all time. J. Draxler has signed a 5-year contract with his new club.

The 21-year-old footballer is leaving the club, where he joined the youth academy at the age of just 8 and where he spent his entire career until now.

J. Draxler made his debut in the “Schalke” ranks at the age of just 17 and at that time was the fourth youngest player in Bundesliga history. Despite his young age, the footballer quickly became an important player for the club, with his most successful season being in 2012-13 when he scored 10 goals in over 30 championship matches.

Unfortunately, in recent years J. Draxler has been plagued by injuries, slowing down his progress.

For a long time, the German was linked with “Juventus” club, but negotiations dragged on, and in recent days “Wolfsburg” intervened, greatly enriched from the sale of Kevin De Bruyne.

It is precisely him that J. Draxler will replace in his new team. Just half an hour before, “Wolfsburg” also officially confirmed the acquisition of “Bayern” defender Dante.
