Jesse Lingard has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United, the club announced. It is believed that the 24-year-old footballer will now earn £100,000 per week.
His previous contract with the "Red Devils" was only valid until 2018, so this step is crucial when planning the team's future.
Negotiations for the contract began in August, and United's executives wanted to extend their collaboration with the Englishman until the end of this season.
"Manchester United has always been a big part of my life," Lingard told the club's official website. "I have been with this club since the age of seven, and every time I put on the jersey, I feel great pride. Scoring in two cup finals for my childhood club was a huge moment of pride for both me and my family."
"As a team, we have already won an important trophy this season and I cannot wait to help us win more under this great coach. I especially want to thank the fans for their great support, which they have always given to me and this team."
Since August, Lingard has contributed five goals and three assists to the victories of the Red Devils.
