London's "Chelsea" club is leaving and heading to China, where John Mikel has been playing since 2006 among the "blues".
The 29-year-old footballer from Nigeria did not play any matches for the "Chelsea" team this season. J. Mikel did not want to continue such a career and signed a lucrative contract with the "Tianjin TEDA" club.
The long-time "Chelsea" team midfielder wrote on his social media account: "I want to thank and say goodbye to everyone who is in the "Chelsea" club. This club will always be a part of me. I wish you all the best!"
"I couldn't be happier saying goodbye to the club as it returns to where it should be - at the top of the league table," added the African player.
J. Mikel joined "Chelsea" in 2006. Over more than a decade, he played 374 matches and scored six goals. The midfielder won the "Premier" league twice and once became a Champions League winner with the "blues".
The African player will earn 140 thousand pounds sterling per week at his new club.
