Official: J. Mourinho takes over the reins at Tottenham

London's "Tottenham" announced on Wednesday morning that Jose Mourinho has officially become the new team's coach.

Portugal has signed a contract with the North London club, which will be valid until the summer of 2023.

J. Mourinho has not coached any team since he was fired from "Manchester United" in December of last year. He has also coached clubs such as "Porto," "Real," "Chelsea," and "Inter."

Throughout his long career, the strategist has won the "Premier League" and "La Liga" championships three times each, raised the Champions League and "Serie A" trophies twice each. Mourinho's most recent title was won with "Man Utd" when he triumphed in the Europa League in 2017.

J. Mourinho has also been named the best coach in the world four times.

"I am very happy to join a club with such a history and great fans. The quality of both the first team and the academy truly amazes me. I really wanted to work with these players," J. Mourinho said after signing the contract.

Portuguese replaces Mauricio Pochettino, who was fired on Tuesday.
