During the last hours of the transfer window, it became clear where Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will continue his career. Despite interest from Italian clubs, the Englishman was loaned out to Bournemouth for the season. Having played only three Premier League matches last season, the 24-year-old midfielder will try to help Eddie Howe's team avoid relegation to the Championship division for the second consecutive year. Wilshere, who has been plagued by injuries, had to make the decision to play elsewhere for a while after Granit Xhaka arrived at Arsenal and his chances of starting in the lineup diminished even further. Now, he was essentially competing with all midfielders in the team: Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, Francis Coquelin, and Mohamed Elneny.
