Carlo Ancelotti taps Pep Guardiola's successor at the Munich "Bayern" team.
This was confirmed by the head of the German champions club, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge:
"We would like to thank J. Guardiola for everything and we hope that luck will not abandon us this season. He will be replaced by another very successful coach - Carlo Ancelotti. We are looking forward to working together."
The Italian, who was fired from the "royal" club after last season, was planning to return to coaching duties no earlier than after New Year's.
Meanwhile, it was already announced that Guardiola has made a decision about his future.
The coach is likely to move to "Manchester City", whose wheel will be taken over from Manuel Pellegrini.
Ancelotti will coach the "Bundesliga" champions for three years.
