Official: "Juventus" shakes up the transfer window - clasping hands with C. Ronaldo

Italian football - a milestone event: Turin's "Juventus" and Madrid's "Real" have informed on their official websites that they have completed negotiations for Cristiano Ronaldo, who will continue his career in Italy.

Speculation about the future of the 33-year-old footballer began after this year's UEFA Champions League final. The Portuguese already hinted then that it was his last match wearing the "Real" team's jersey.

Initially, it was expected that C. Ronaldo would ask for a new contract in this way, but the intentions of the Portuguese were true - one of the most unexpected transfers of this summer was confirmed today.

As announced on the official website of the Italian champions, "Juventus" and "Real" have agreed on a deal worth 100 million euros. An additional 12 million euros will be spent on various transfer expenses. The player himself, arriving in Turin, will sign a four-year contract.

C. Ronaldo, who promised to end his career in Madrid, changed his mind after his relationship with club president Florentino Perez deteriorated. The "White" leader had promised him a new contract, but the Portuguese did not receive it.

One of the most prominent football stars of this age became a true legend of the "Real" team. C. Ronaldo, who arrived in Madrid in 2009 for the then record-breaking sum of 94 million euros, played a total of 438 games and scored a whopping 450 goals over nine years.

C. Ronaldo won all possible trophies with "Real" - four times became the UEFA Champions League winner, twice celebrated the victory in the Spanish championship, raised the UEFA Super Cup three times, and won other important trophies. In total, the forward amassed 16 titles in nine years in the "merengues" ranks.

Before arriving in the Spanish capital, the player wore the "Manchester United" jersey for six years, and started his career at his native country's Lisbon "Sporting" team.

C. Ronaldo's transfer is expected to cause a true revolution in the "Serie A" championship - not only has the Portuguese become the most expensive player in the country's history, but he will also become the biggest star of these championships, attracting new investors and generating huge revenues for advertising clients.

The player himself will earn 120 million euros in Turin over four years - 30 million per year.
