Official: K. Casilla will replace I. Casillas in the "Real" goal

The Madrid "Real" club, having sold the club icon Iker Casillas, is inviting Barcelona's "Espanyol" goalkeeper with a surname very similar to the "Real" legend - Kiko Casilla, to join its ranks.

He will cost the Madrid club 6 million euros, and the player himself will soon put his signature on a five-year contract.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper started his career in 2004 in the Madrid "Real C" team, later played in the "B" team, but in 2007 moved to "Espanyol", where he has been playing until now.

Within the ranks of the "Espanyol" team, K.Casilla played a total of 126 matches, conceded 161 goals, and kept the goal "dry" 41 times.

The goalkeeper attracted a lot of attention last season when, in 37 matches in the ranks of the "Primera" outsiders, he conceded only 48 goals and kept a clean sheet 13 times.

The transfer of K.Casilla to Madrid was first confirmed by "Espanyol" on their "Twitter" account.
