Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that they acquired experienced goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Real Madrid.
Since last season, K. Navas had to come to terms with the role of a backup goalkeeper in the "white" team, so this season he eventually decided to make career changes.
PSG paid 15 million euros for the 32-year-old player and loaned their goalkeeper - Alphonse Areola for the season, who this year will become Thibaut Courtois' backup, and immediately after the season return to Paris.
K. Navas joined Real Madrid in 2014. After Iker Casillas' departure, he became the main goalkeeper and helped the team win three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles.
In total, the Costa Rican played 162 matches in the "white" team.
On the other hand, A. Areola is coming to Spain for the second time in his career - the 26-year-old goalkeeper was also loaned to Villarreal team in the 2015-16 season.
Real Madrid team did not look for a long-term second goalkeeper, as they have high hopes for the Ukrainian Andrej Lunin, who is currently on loan to Real Valladolid team.
