Official: K. Trippier leaves to play for "Atletico"

Madrid's "Atletico" club will have an Englishman in their team for the first time in 95 years - Kieran Trippier is arriving from London's "Tottenham".

"Rojiblancos" officially announced that they have reached a three-year agreement with the 28-year-old right-back. He will cost 25 million euros to the Spanish vice-champions.

The Englishman successfully underwent a medical examination on Wednesday and headed to the "Atletico" training camp in Los Angeles.

K. Trippier has been the main right-back at the "Tottenham" club for the past few seasons, but rumors started circulating during the last season that both parties wanted changes.

K. Trippier, who arrived at "Tottenham" from "Burnley" in 2015, appeared on the pitch 114 times with the "Spurs" jersey.

"Atletico" has been looking for reinforcements on the right side for some time now, as Juanfran left the team in the summer.
