They have reached an official agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of Shinji Kagawa's safety.
The 23-year-old footballer still needs to undergo a medical examination and receive permission to work in Great Britain. It is expected that these formalities will be completed by the month of July.
The German champions will receive a compensation of 15 million euros for Kagawa. The amount could increase to 21 million euros depending on the number of matches played by the defender and the results.
Last season in the German league, Kagawa, who currently represents Japan in the World Cup qualifying matches, scored 13 goals in 31 matches.
