Long-time forward Dirk Kuyt is leaving the club and for just over 1 million euros is moving to Turkey, where he will wear the Istanbul jersey.

The 31-year-old footballer arrived in England in 2006 from Rotterdam's "Feyenoord" and scored 71 goals in over 250 matches. He has signed a three-year contract with "Fenerbahce."

Kuyt was a favorite of "Liverpool" fans: in 2007, he scored both goals in the crucial derby against Liverpool's "Everton," and in 2011 he defeated "Man Utd" goalkeeper three times.

Furthermore, the forward, who represented the Netherlands national team 80 times, scored in the losing 2007 Champions League final against "Milan" and in the victory after a penalty shootout in the decisive match of the English League Cup against "Cardiff."

However, last season Kuyt lost his guaranteed place in the starting lineup. In the Premier League, he played 34 matches, starting in 22 of them, and scored two goals.
