"Paris Saint-Germain" confirmed that they have extended the contract with head coach Laurent Blanc.
There were speculations in the media that the French champions would try to attract Jose Mourinho, but ultimately it was revealed that their current coach will stay at the club at least until 2018.
Since 2013, the Frenchman has led the Parisians to three consecutive "Ligue 1" titles, and this season the team, dominating on the domestic front, will finally try to break through in the UEFA Champions League.
"I would like to thank the club for showing faith in me," Blanc said on the official PSG website.
"I have felt honored to work in such an ambitious club from the very beginning, and coaching such talented players is incredibly enjoyable."
"I hope to continue to maintain "Paris Saint-Germain" as such a wonderful and respected ambassador of French football."
