Official: L. Digne strengthened "Roma" defense

"Roma" club has announced that they have loaned Lucas Digne from "Paris Saint-Germain" for one season.

The Italian capital team will pay 2.5 million euros for the left-back's loan, and will have the option to buy his contract permanently next summer.

"I chose Roma because this club is historic," the Frenchman told the official website of the "Serie A" vice-champions.

"The club also competes in the Champions League and their fans are very pleasant. This is very important to me. I know that this city and club have all the ingredients to be successful."

The 22-year-old footballer moved to Paris from "Lille" in 2013. However, Digne only played 30 games and did not stand out during his two seasons at PSG.
