Official: L. Enrique leaves the Spanish national team for personal reasons.

In the Spanish national team - changes: Luis Enrique officially resigns from the head coach position.

The president of the Spanish football federation, Luis Rubiales, held a press conference today, confirming L. Enrique's withdrawal and that his place is taken by assistant coach Roberto Moreno.

The 41-year-old R. Moreno, who has worked with L. Enrique throughout his career, took over his colleague's seat in the head coach's chair since the match against Malta at the end of March.

Just like then, it is now claimed that L. Enrique cannot work for personal reasons.

The coaching staff will remain the same in the national team, with A. Moreno, who has more than eight years of experience at the highest level, taking over the main duties instead of the former "Barcelona" strategist.

The personal reasons preventing L. Enrique from working are not yet known. Two theories are being speculated in the media - he either suffers from a serious illness himself or his daughter does.

L. Enrique took over the work in the Spanish national team in the fall of 2018.
