„Manchester United“ announced that the team has been supplemented by midfielder Lisandro Martinez. „Sky Sports“ reports that „United“ will have to pay 48.5 million pounds sterling for the Argentine to Amsterdam's „Ajax“ team, with an additional 8.5 million pounds in add-ons. Martinez has signed a five-year contract with the possibility of extending it for another year. The 24-year-old footballer will become the second most expensive defender in „United“ history after captain Harry Maguire, whose transfer to the „Red Devils“ cost 80 million pounds sterling. The „Guardian“ newspaper states that the defender will earn £120,000 per week at „United“. Martinez became the third newcomer for the „Red Devils“ this summer. Earlier, the team was joined by attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen and left-back Tyrell Malacia.
