One of the main defenders of Borussia Dortmund, Lukasz Piszczek, has demonstrated his reliability and signed a new contract with the team.
The 31-year-old Pole has committed to defending the colors of the Bundesliga club until the end of the 2018-19 season.
"I am very pleased that the club has shown such trust in me. I am very proud to continue wearing the black and yellow jersey and playing in front of our unique fans for at least another two years," the defender said.
The veteran arrived in Dortmund from the "Hertha" club in Berlin, and even after a change of coaches a couple of seasons ago, he continues to play an important role in Thomas Tuchel's schemes.
This season, Piszczek scored 5 goals and made 2 assists in 31 matches.
