"Liverpool" club announced on Friday afternoon that the team's attacks leader, Luis Suarez, is leaving the Uruguayan national team and the "Reds" squad.
The 27-year-old forward, after some negotiations, is moving to the ranks of the Spanish vice-champions "Barcelona", where he will replace Alexis Sanchez who transferred to "Arsenal".
The footballer will officially sign a five-year contract with "Barca" and will be presented to the club's fans next week.
Last December, L. Suarez signed a new five-year contract with the "Reds", but as predicted, decided to leave the team this summer.
It is not clear yet how much the Catalan club will pay to the Merseyside team, but unofficially reported that the player's buyout clause could reach around 70 million pounds sterling (88 million euros).

Last season, the footballer became the top scorer in the English Premier League, scoring 31 goals, and was voted the player of the season by his colleagues.
Representing the "Liverpool" team, the player scored a total of 111 goals and made 32 assists in 159 official matches in all competitions.
During the World Cup, the Uruguayan striker received the most attention after an incident with Giorgio Chiellini, when L. Suarez bit the Italian. For this action, the footballer was "awarded" with a four-month ban and a ban from participating in 9 national team matches.
