Official: L. Suarez will lie on the operating table

In the Catalan media, rumors have spread that Luis Suarez may undergo surgery in the near future - confirmed.

The 32-year-old striker played the entire match against Madrid's Atletico on Thursday, but did so feeling knee pain. "Sport" reported that the player has aggravated a previous knee injury.

This Saturday, L. Suarez met with doctor Ramon Cugat, who determined that the footballer needs meniscus surgery.

According to unofficial information, the Uruguayan may be sidelined for four to six weeks.

Due to this operation, L. Suarez may miss the first UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against Napoli.

The forward has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 23 games this season.
