The "Juventus" club has officially extended the contract with 28-year-old defender Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian will stay in the "Old Lady" at least until the year 2020.
In 2010, L. Bonucci joined the club from the "Bari" team and gradually became one of the key defensive pillars in the ranks of the "Bianconeri". Over five years, the defender won as many as 4 "Serie A" champion titles, and last season, he managed to reach the final of the Champions League with the team.
The importance of L. Bonucci for the club is confirmed by impressive statistics. With the defender in the lineup last season, "Juventus" won as much as 70.6 percent of matches. Meanwhile, when L. Bonucci could not help the team, the winning percentage was only about 50 percent.
Having played 225 matches for "Juventus", the Italian was linked this summer with a move to the "Real" team in Madrid.
