"Newcastle" club, after selling midfielder Yohan Cabaye, has signed Borussia Monchengladbach forward Luuk de Jong on loan. The Dutch player will represent Alan Pardew's team at least until the summer, and later the club will have the option to buy the striker. The 23-year-old forward lost his place in the Gladbach starting lineup and has not played a single game since April. "Newcastle" tried to acquire L. De Jong in 2012, but the battle for the striker was won by Borussia Monchengladbach, who paid 12 million euros. During his time at Borussia, the Dutch player scored 8 goals and made 4 assists in 45 matches. De Jong will wear the number 18 jersey for the Magpies. It is also reported that A. Pardew is interested in Lyon goalkeeper Clement Grenier as a replacement for Y. Cabaye, who recently moved to PSG.
