Luis Enrique will continue to lead the Barcelona footballers. On Tuesday evening, the Catalan club officially announced that the 45-year-old strategist agreed to sign an additional one-year contract, valid until June 30, 2017. Luis Enrique's previous contract was valid until the coming summer. The signing ceremony of the contract was held on the same day at the Barcelona headquarters. "I doubt we could feel any happier right now. Throughout the season, many different things happened, including bad ones, but everything was crowned with a great finish. We hope to achieve victories in the future as well," said the coach of the Catalan team. Together with Luis Enrique, his assistants - Juan Carlos Unzue, Roberto Moreno, Joan Barbará, Rafel Pol, Jose Ramon de la Fuente, and Joaquin Valdes - also signed a new contract. Luis Enrique has been coaching the main Barcelona football team since last summer and already in his first season, he won all three major trophies - the Spanish championship, the national cup, and the UEFA Champions League.
