"Liverpool" team decided to tie the future long term with defender Joe Gomez. Officially announced that a new contract has been signed with the 21-year-old Englishman, valid for up to five seasons. Currently recovering from injury, the talent has become an important player in Jurgen Klopp's football schemes. This season he appeared in 18 matches and most often formed a center-back duo with Virgil van Dijk. He joined the "Liverpool" club in 2015, when a fee of £3.5 million was paid to "Charlton Athletic" team.
