UEFA Europa League finalist club "Liverpool" has completed negotiations with "Mainz" for the acquisition of 22-year-old goalkeeper Loris Karius.
Rumors that the young German goalkeeper will strengthen the ranks of "Liverpool" have been circulating for some time. Today, the "Reds" officially confirmed the goalkeeper's acquisition and signed a five-year contract.
"Liverpool" paid £4.7 million for L. Karius. The German has become the third player to bolster Jurgen Klopp's team this summer. Previously, the "Reds" reached agreements with Marko Grujić and Joel Matip.
"I am very proud to be in this club. I can't wait for the moment when I can play and help this team," - briefly said the new "Liverpool" acquisition.
In the main "Mainz" team, L. Karius made his debut in 2012. Throughout this period, he played 96 matches and helped the club rise to second place in the "Bundesliga" championship this season.
