Official: M. Gomez moves to "Wolfsburg"

Today it was officially confirmed that Mario Gomez will continue his career in his homeland - with the "Wolfsburg" team.

The striker is returning to Germany from the "Fiorentina" team, and the Italians paid a transfer fee of 7 million euros for him. However, last season Gomez was loaned to the "Besiktas" club, where he scored 26 goals in the Turkish championship and became the top scorer of the league.

"I am happy and looking forward to a new challenge. I had excellent conversations with Klaus Allofs and Dieter Hecking, and I am delighted to return to the Bundesliga. I would like to return to international tournaments as well, and I believe that with Wolfsburg I can achieve that," Gomez said after signing the contract.
