For some time now, rumors about Mario Gotze's return to Dortmund's "Borussia" have been officially confirmed. The German vice champions have brought back the 24-year-old footballer from Munich's "Bayern" for 23 million euros. The prodigal son - that's how the German could be described. M. Gotze, who started his career at the "Borussia" club in 2013, decided to leave the youth team and spread his wings to one of their biggest rivals. However, M. Gotze failed to show top-level football in Munich. The first two seasons were successful for the German - he scored 30 times, but last season he played only 21 matches. The footballer could no longer accept the role of substitute and decided to return home. It is written on the official "Borussia" website that the German national team member will soon undergo a medical examination and sign a four-year contract. In the main composition of the Dortmund team, M. Gotze, once considered one of the most talented German footballers, made his debut in 2009. In total, the German has worn the "black and yellow" stripes 116 times. Meanwhile, in the "Bayern" club, he won seven titles in just three seasons.
