As expected, one of the most famous Turkish clubs acquired Serbian national team forward Mateja Kežman from Spain's Real Madrid.

In the Spanish team, the Serb spent just one season after being bought for 8.5 million euros from the English club "Chelsea" last summer.

"I am here to win many trophies and score many goals. I believe that 'Fenerbahce' plays really high-quality football, and with a coach like Zico, we have a lot of chances to beat anyone," said the player.

In 2004, M. Kežman was acquired by "Chelsea" from the Netherlands' "PSV" Eindhoven. In 123 matches wearing the Dutch club's jersey, the forward managed to score a total of 105 goals, but at "Chelsea" he had little time to shine and spent almost the entire season watching games from the bench.

Although playing for the "Atletico" club, the player had enough game time, but last season he only scored 8 goals. The addition of new players Sergio Aguero and Mista to the team at the beginning of this summer led to the forward's decision to leave the club.

It is believed that the Serb should occupy the position of the Frenchman Nicolas Anelka in the attacking line, as the 25-year-old forward moved to the English club "Bolton".
