Madrid's "Atletico" announced that they have reached an agreement for Matias Kranevitter's transfer to St. Petersburg's "Zenit". The 24-year-old defender joined the team in August 2015, but did not establish himself in the main lineup. Last season, he was loaned to the "Sevilla" club, where he played 32 matches. "On behalf of Madrid's 'Atletico', we thank him for all his efforts in defending our colors and wish him the best of luck in this new phase," reads the official statement. The Spanish capital's team also got rid of Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borre, who will play for Buenos Aires' "River Plate".
