Martin Odegaard will not break into the main doors of Real Madrid - the 19-year-old Norwegian football talent will play in the Netherlands again until the end of the next season. The official website of the UEFA Champions League winners announces that it was agreed to loan M. Odegaard to Arnhem "Vitesse", who compete in the highest Dutch football league. For the last year and a half, M. Odegaard has been wearing the colors of the "Heerenveen" team, also competing in the Eredivisie championship. Last season, the Norwegian had a fantastic start in the Netherlands, but suffered an injury in the spring and did not play for several months. The attacking midfielder did not return to his initial sporting form, and in the summer, after training with Julen Lopetegui, he did not prove that he was ready to play in the first team. Real Madrid still has high hopes for M. Odegaard and believes that this loan will finally be successful for both him and the club in the future. With a playing style reminiscent of Lionel Messi, the Norwegian played 26 matches in the Netherlands last season, scoring two goals and providing as many assists.
Official statement: Odegaard.
