Dortmund's "Borussia" on Tuesday afternoon informed the club's fans about fantastic news - one of the team's leaders, Marco Reus, has extended his contract until 2019.
The 25-year-old footballer has recently been linked with top European clubs, especially with Madrid's "Real" club. Nevertheless, the German decided to stay in his home country for a longer time and tied his future with the "yellow-blacks".
According to the old contract, M. Reus was supposed to become a free agent in 2017, but his contract included a small buyout clause - either 25 or 35 million euros.
"I am very happy with my decision," - said the forward after extending his contract. - "Dortmund is my hometown, and I feel great in the 'Borussia' club. I am looking forward to a successful future with BVB."
During this season, M. Reus couldn't play in many matches due to injury, but he managed to play in 14 games and score seven times.
