Official: M. Sarri leaves for "Juventus"

London's "Chelsea" and Turin's "Juventus" officially announced that Maurizio Sarri is returning to Italy.

The long-standing rumors about M. Sarri's arrival at the "Juventus" club were finally confirmed. The "Old Lady" agreed to pay the buyout clause specified in the coach's contract.

"Chelsea" club director Marina Granovskaja stated that M. Sarri is leaving the "Blues" on his own initiative, not the club's. The Italian revealed his desire to return to his homeland and continue working closer to his family in a private conversation after the Europa League final.

M. Sarri replaces Massimiliano Allegri in the "Juventus" ranks, who announced his decision to leave at the end of the season.

The Italian champions signed a three-year contract with the 60-year-old football specialist.

With "Chelsea" in his debut season, M. Sarri reached two finals - the English League Cup and the Europa League, winning the latter.

Prior to his experiences in the "Serie A" championship, M. Sarri gained experience with the "Empoli" and "Napoli" clubs.
