Official: Madrid's "Real" bought "Porto" defender for 50 million euros

Zinedine Zidane's blessed Madrid "Real" club already knows its first upcoming summer newcomer.

The Madrid "Real" official website informed that they have completed negotiations with "Porto" for the acquisition of defender Eder Militao. A contract has been signed with the promising footballer until 2025.

The 21-year-old Brazilian became the most expensive defender of Madrid "Real" team - a sum of 50 million euros will be paid for him, which was included as his buyout clause in the contract with "Porto".

E. Militao, who can play in the center and on the right side of defense, underwent a medical examination on Monday, at the same time as Z. Zidane was presented at the club.

Last summer, E. Militao arrived from Brazil to "Porto" and during the season became arguably the best defender of the Portuguese championship. He is compared to Pepe due to his physical attributes.

"Manchester United" and "Liverpool" also fought for E. Militao's signature, but "Real" managed to get ahead of other clubs several months ago.

"Marca" also emphasized that "Real" will say goodbye to Jesus Vallejo. From now on, E. Militao will provide competition for Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.
