Madrid's "Real" has agreed with San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" on a one-season loan agreement for Theo Hernandez.
The 20-year-old left-back defender, a UEFA Champions League winner, was acquired last summer. His first season was not easy - the Frenchman had to fight for a place with Marcelo, which significantly reduced his playing time.
Julen Lopetegui and the Madrid "Real" management decided that it would be best for T. Hernandez to get stable playing time next season and return significantly improved in the summer.
T. Hernandez, costing 24 million euros, played 23 matches last season and made three assists.
It is speculated that Sergio Reguilon, who played on the second team of Madrid "Real" this season, will become Marcelo's backup this season. He convinced the team's coaches during the preseason.
