Official: Madrid's "Real" regains improved M. Diaz in France

Madrird's "Real" finally officially announced that they have completed negotiations with "Lyon" for the acquisition of 25-year-old striker Mariano Diaz.

It is reported that the transfer fee is 33 million euros, however, because the "whites" had 35 percent rights to the player, this deal will cost them around 23 million euros.

The player himself returned to Madrid on Friday and will be presented at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium. M. Diaz has committed to staying at the club until 2023.

M. Diaz was recently linked with "Sevilla", but Madrid's "Real" most likely waited for "Lyon" to receive the first official offer for the player, as negotiating directly with the French club would have been financially riskier, and now they could offer the same as "Sevilla", excluding the rights part.

Madrid's "Real" environment is very familiar to M. Diaz - he started playing in the club's academy in 2012 and in 2016 he got the opportunity to debut in the main team.

The sniper had a pretty good time in France - wearing the "Lyon" jersey, he played a total of 45 matches and scored 21 goals.

Official Announcement: Mariano.
