Official: Malcom leaves "Barça" and moves to "Zenit"

Malcom's career at Barcelona club did not last long - the 22-year-old Brazilian officially shook hands with Zenit from St. Petersburg.

Russian champions confirmed that they had signed a five-year contract with the player. Barcelona will receive 40 million euros for him and possible bonus amounts of 5 million.

Malcom arrived in Barcelona for a fee of 41 million euros last summer, when he rejected a last-minute offer from Roma. The Brazilian played only 24 games last year, and in most of them, he only rose from the bench.

This summer, Malcom was on the radar of several prominent European teams, but Zenit offered him the best conditions.

He joined Barcelona from the Bordeaux team, where he scored 23 goals in 96 games.

Next season, Zenit will compete in the UEFA Champions League.
