After UEFA approved the new "Man City" acquisition name, the club itself soon confirmed this information.
The "Man City" team spent the whole summer actively pursuing "Everton" defender John Stones, for whom, as reported in the press, they were willing to pay around £50 million.
On the night when player registration for the UEFA Champions League matches ended, the name of the England representative appeared in the "Man City" lineup.
"He was on the list of players sent by the 'Citizens'. Yesterday was the last day of registration, and Stones ended up in their lineup.
"We checked twice for possible errors, and we received numerous calls about this incident," said a UEFA representative.
Today at lunchtime, "Man City" officially confirmed that they bought the 22-year-old English player.
The 188cm tall talent spent four seasons at "Everton" before that he also played for the "Barnsley" team.
